Meet the doctor
Dr Joe is a Medical Practitioner and Registrar General Practitioner based in Newcastle, NSW.
He has long been passionate about natural and preventative medicine and bases his interactions with patients around the pillars of respect, autonomy, and empowerment. With experience in psychiatry, general medicine, paediatrics and oncology, and having completed an "Extended Skills" term in Emergency Medicine as part of his General Practice training, Dr Joe genuinely seeks the best outcomes for his patients through a holistic, collaborative and informative approach to care.
His extensive experience has enabled him to explore his special interests in sleep medicine, chronic pain, oncology, and palliative care to best support every patient he sees.
When he isn't consulting, Dr Joe spends time with his family – including a kelpie puppy and two children. He embodies an active and healthy lifestyle and is actively engaged in community sports. As an avid surfer, Dr Joe is becoming known as "The Surfing Doctor" both in his locale and at Polln.
