Meet the doctor
Dr. Matthew Kent is a Medical Practitioner based in Wollongong, New South Wales.
Passionate about the role of natural therapies in holistic healthcare, Dr. Matthew believes strongly in the power of natural medicine when used within an evidence-based framework. He has a special interest in managing chronic pain, insomnia and palliative care, and strives to address both the mental and physical health of his patients.
Over the course of his medical career, Dr. Matthew has gained diverse experience across anaesthetics, emergency medicine, psychiatry, and chronic disease management, working in both urban and rural hospital settings – including intensive care units and emergency departments.
His approach to healthcare is rooted in compassion and patient empowerment, tailoring treatments to the unique needs of each patient. Having completed additional training in pain management at Monash University, Dr. Matthew is committed to helping patients achieve an improved quality of life through informed, holistic care.
When Dr. Matthew isn't working, he enjoys the natural beauty of the outdoors. A passionate surfer, he spends much of his free time riding waves along the East Coast of Australia – a hobby he developed growing up on the South Coast of New South Wales. Dr. Matthew is also an avid traveller, having backpacked across 25 countries across Europe and Asia. His love for exploring new cultures and cuisines has deepened his appreciation for the world around him.
